Driving Test Assessment Checklist for Class 3 and Class 3A

In this article, I will be sharing about the driving test assessment checklist and it will be good for you during the actual practical test to know what are things covered in the assessment checklist.

With all these, you are aware of what things you should not be doing in order to be penalized with points during your practical test.

Why is it important to know what is covered in the driving test assessment checklist?

Based on my personal experience, I feel it is important for you to go through the checklist and understand what are items which will cause you demerit points.

Although you feel all these can be covered during your practical lessons it will not cover covered 100% or sometimes instructors might miss it. In fact, I did not really go through the checklist and I am based on what I have learned from my mistakes during my practical lessons.

During my actual TP, I got 6 demerit points due to lane changing at the bend without knowing whereby I confidently change lanes (back to left lane) when I confirm it is safe at the bend.

The tester actually quite shocked and shouted at me that I should not do this at the bend etc. For me, I don’t know if even changing lanes at the bend will cause me 6 points and this thing is one of the items on the checklist under Forward Driving section.

Of course, today I will remember what had happened during my TP whenever I see the bend when I am driving. So making sure to know what items will cause you to demerit points will help you to prevent making silly mistakes by giving free points like me during my TP.
